Cenotes are the only source of fresh water on the Yucatan Peninsula. They are these amazing, mystical, crystal clear pools of water usually set deep in the jungle or can be found in hidden underground caverns. I was psyched when Kerra & Patrick said they wanted to do a Trash the Dress session at one of them and I knew the perfect spot near Playa del Carmen. The underwater shoot was a breeze for Kerra, a triathlete, who is super comfortable in the water and she was so patient and willing to try all the crazy ideas I was coming up with so that we could get the best shot. Patrick was such a good sport also, cheering on his new wife even when his soaking wet suit started to make him shiver. Trash the Dress sessions are not always the easiest shoots but with an adventurous, easy-going couple like Kerra & Patrick we were able to make some beautiful images and had so much fun doing it.

Tori & Jon | Denver Wedding at the Magnolia Hotel
Tori & Jon held their April Denver wedding at the Trinity United Methodist Church and then hosted an amazing party at the beautiful and romantic Magnolia Hotel ballroom in downtown Denver. The Texas natives celebrated into the wee hours of the morning with guests who never left the dance floor and huge smiles that never left their faces. Cori Cook did an amazing job with the flowers, the centerpieces were incredable, and I absolutely loved the cascading orchid bouquet she created for the beaming bride. Thanks Tori & Jon, you were a wonderful couple to photograph!

Krina & Jeremy’s Winter Wedding at Taharaa Lodge in Estes Park
Krina & Jeremy drove 20 hours from Humble, Texas to have a Colorado wedding with 27 of their closest family and friends. The calm, cool and collected couple couldn’t take their eyes off of each other during the entire ceremony and the well prepared bride wore snow boots under her gown, which came in very handy after a snowstorm blew in while we were taking portraits on the grounds at the rustic Taharaa Lodge. It was exactly what they wanted… special, intimate, beautiful… and we all had a blast celebrating in the snow on their unforgettable day.

Enormous thanks to Amy Deputy, who showed me the quite beauty of documentary-style wedding photography many, many years ago.

Cheryl & Phillip’s Winter Wedding at the Boettcher Mansion
Cheryl & Phillip hosted a lovely winter wedding for their family and friends at Golden’s Boettcher Mansion. Cheryl’s stunning smile was the theme of the day and brought Phillip to tears when he first laid eyes on her. Thank you to all at the mansion who helped make the day go smoothly even with an unexpected fire alarm and thanks to Cori Cook Floral Design for the beautiful arrangements.
