Estes Park Wedding Photography | Alisha & Jake

Alisha and Jake had their fantastic Estes Park Wedding at the YMCA of the Rockies. The YMCA is a rustic, casual and unique wedding venue with breathtaking views and a great staff to help your day run smoothly. They rented out an enormous cabin where most of their wedding party stayed to party with them and help them prepare for their Estes Park wedding. They had bright, sunny Colorado skies for their ceremony that was held on a bluff under a giant wooden cross. Jake’s last name is Pepper, so Alisha cleverly had her florist make her gorgeous center pieces out of peppers and flowers. It was simply a lovely occasion for two people madly in love with each other and such a fun wedding to be a part of. I can’t wait to document another Estes Park wedding!

Fall Family Portraits | Nederland Colorado Family Photography

I had the utmost pleasure to work with long-time clients Beth & Robbie in Nederland Colorado for their second round of family portraits this past fall. I photographed Beth and Robbie’s engagement session, gorgeous Piney River Ranch wedding and first set of family portraits when their daughter turned one. Now they have added another daughter to their beautifully growing tribe and we got to spend another wonderful afternoon together.

Nederland was a great spot for natural family photography and we took a short hike out to an iconic red barn and played in the peaking yellow aspen trees. Being able to document all of a family’s milestone’s is one of the reasons I love my job so much. It is such an honor to watch this lovely family grow!

Destination Wedding in New Hampshire | Alexis & Garrett

New England Destination Wedding

Alexis and Garrett love the mountains of Colorado but decided to have their destination wedding back in the small town of Nelson, New Hampshire where they grew up surrounded by all of their friends, families and newborn baby girl.

Nelson, New Hampshire is beautiful and tiny, and remote. Alexis’ family cabin on Silver Lake made the most perfect backdrop for their wedding ceremony and their tented backyard wedding hosted a wonderful party well in to the evening. Kids played barefoot in the yard, adult beverages cooled in a canoe filled with ice and guests tore up the dancefloor. The whole event felt very authentic, very joyful, very Alexis and Garrett.

“How do you feel about climbing that rock?” is a question I surprisingly ask many of my couples! Luckily, I work with such fun-loving and adventurous people they are usually game, even in their wedding attire. Alexis and Garrett were no different and their willingness to scramble up a giant boulder to pacify my creativity worked out to one of my favorite sunset photos of all time. So thank you, Alexis and Garrett, for your hospitality, openness and adventurous spirits. I am so honored I was asked to document your lakeside destination wedding. It was truly a blast and so fun working in a new location!

“Kira flew all the way to NH to shoot my wedding just days after her own wedding! She and I had spoken over the phone and come up with an idea of what my husband and I were hoping for, and Kira came in having never seen our venue and was able to quickly get some visions for some beautiful photos. Colorado Engagement Photography | Lisa & Jim

I’ve known Lisa and Jim since I moved to Colorado over five years ago and I was so honored when they asked me to photograph their wedding next summer. We met up in the mountains recently for an engagement shoot and couldn’t have timed it better. It was a perfect fall day with all the beautiful aspens at their peak. The colors were amazing.

Boulder Engagement Photography | Downtown and Wonderland Lake

Another amazing Boulder engagement photography session at Wonderland lake (and downtown briefly) with another wonderful couple. I am well aware that I do shoots at the lake often but in my opinion, that place is one of the most beautiful spots in all of Boulder, Colorado. Plus, each season and each session brings me different colors and different ideas. Congrats on your engagement Lisa & Eric!
