Colorado Mountain Wedding | Hannah & Bryse
I finished off a fabulous 2014 with a sweet, simple, tiny Colorado Mountain Wedding. Hannah & Bryse live and work in Cambodia but came back to the states to share the exchanging of their vows with only their immediate family. Bryse’s parents have a beautiful mountain home in Eagle, Colorado which made a perfect setting for this winter wedding and I simply loved the tradition Korean wedding dress Hannah wore against the muted, snowy backdrop. Hannah & Bryse had the fastest ceremony I’ve ever had the pleasure of documenting (only 6 minutes!) then a lovely lunch of meat pie made from Bryse’s grandmother’s famous recipe.

Boulder, Colorado Engagement Photos | Alyssa & Brett
Alyssa and Brett’s Boulder, Colorado engagement photos were so much fun to make! We started in downtown Boulder where I photographed them zipping around on their red Vespa and then wandering around Pearl Street. Then we headed up to Chautauqua Park for a more rustic setting hiking through all of the tall, golden grass as the sun set on this fabulous fall engagement session. Best of luck to the two of you!

Baby Photography | Welcome Archer!
Leslie & Andrew have been my very good friends for many years. I photographed their engagement session, wedding in beautiful Breckenridge, Colorado and now I have had the absolute pleasure of photographing their new baby, Archer. These photos are from the very first hours he joined the world up until about a month old. I love his tiny fingers and how he watches his daddy so intently. I loved watching Leslie, exhausted in her hospital bed, beam and glow as she traced her fingers along his face learning all of his beautiful features. I can’t wait to see him grow and change and watch his wonderful parents guide, support and love him along his journey.

Colorado Engagement Photos | Nicole & Chris
These wonderful Colorado engagement photos were made in Boulder down near the town’s colorful creek path. Nicole is a yoga teacher, Chris was her student and after great persistence Chris managed to charmed her enough to break her rule of never dating students. His incredible charm and her graceful yogi presence helped make this one of my very favorite engagement sessions. They were such naturals and Chris was able to make Nicole laugh so much, I loved being a witness to their love.

Granby Ranch Wedding | Amanda & Mike
Amanda and Mike’s Granby Ranch Wedding was absolutley perfect. The sweet, fun-loving couple took such care and paid special attention to all of their wonderful homemade details and the bright, shiny, colorful Colorado day complimented their wonderful energy. I loved the special moments between Amanda and her dad, Mike becoming overwhelmed with emotion as Amanda walked down the aisle and all the fun, silly, truly unique moments during the reception.
One of the best reviews a bride has ever given me… Thank you Amanda, it was truly my pleasure.
“Kira was absolutely amazing and a true joy to work with. It was important for us to find a photographer that would truly capture the moments as they happened. In fact, the photos were our most important aspect of the wedding and Kira did not disappoint. Somehow this lovely lady covered our wedding with the skill of a CIA operative. Going through our photos we keep asking ourselves, “Do you remember her taking that photo?” Kira marched all over the ceremony capturing it from every angle at some points marching right off the side of the mountain. She pays extra attention to the emotions people are feeling and looking at the photos now brings me right back to every captured moment. Her past body of work is extraordinary and her photos speak for themselves.
Kira kept calm through our chaotic, opinionated family. It was a relief to have her there because I didn’t need to worry about anything. She wrangled our families like a 3 ring circus leader and got every plausible photo you would normally get in an hour shoot in what felt like 5 minutes! (which was good because they can be a handful!) My husband and I were so comfortable with her and that made our portraits all the more beautiful. Taking our portraits was a lot of fun. We hiked all over the mountain and she was right there with us, burrowing into the fall trees to get “THE PICTURE”. Towards the end of the night, she checked in during the reception to make sure she was taking all the pictures we wanted.
There is so much I could go on about. What else can I say? Kira is creative, professional, the best photographer I have ever worked with, caring, and is so obviously passionate about her career. One day when my husband and I start a family, Kira will be getting another call from us. If she’ll have us, I plan on making her our photographer for life.”
