Stacey & Ryan had the most perfect day for their Estes Park wedding this past weekend at the Twin Owls Steakhouse at the Black Canyon Lodge. I can’t wait to dive into their photos! They were such a wonderful couple to work with. Here are two of my quick favorites.
I had so much fun making these beautiful family photos up in Rocky Mountain National Park the other day. Atlanta residents, Tyler and Jackie, were married up at the Stanley Hotel 10 years ago and to celebrate their anniversary they decided to take a trip back to Colorado, this time with their three sweet daughters in tow. We had the most perfect spring day for their family photos and Sprague Lake provided the most perfect backdrop. Dressed in angel-white dresses, their girls climbed boulders, threw rocks into the lake, smelled wildflowers and kept a look out for Bigfoot. They each showed off their fantastically willful personalities, scratched legs and pretty smiles. These are some of my favorite family photos to date. Hope you like them too!
This spring I was fortunate to travel back to my home state of New Jersey to be Lauren and Matt’s wedding photographer. I’ve know Lauren and her family for over 20 years and always feel so honored when friends choose me to help document their day. Lauren and Matt were wed at the fabulous Stone House in Warren, NJ. The iffy weather didn’t disrupt our day and I had the best time capturing so many special moments and all the wonderful details they spend so much time working on to make their wedding both romantic and unique.
Thank you so much Lauren and Matt, it was truly wonderful to watch you commit your lives to each other!

Fierce weather for this fiercely beautiful bride who was wed this Memorial Day weekend up in Boulder, Colorado’s Sunshine Canyon. This is a long overdue post about Lauren & Matt’s engagement session which took place last winter while I was home in New Jersey. I’m flying back this weekend to photographer their wedding and can’t wait to work with these long-time friends again! The engagement shoot took place on a warm December day and we were given some of New Jersey’s beautiful, sunset, golden light to bask in as we wandered around Davidson’s Mill Park. Love these two and can’t wait for this weekend!
2013 was an excellent year for me. The business grew tremendiously and once again I got to work with a plethera of open, welcoming and adventurous couples at some of the most beautiful Colorado (and Costa Rica!) wedding venues. The photos below are some (not all) of my favorite moments from the year. Some of the moments that I will forever remember… like a father’s old hands folding a pocket square for his son about to walk down the aisle, bridesmaids fawning over the beautiful bride, a father wiping a tear from his face, grandma wearing curlers and playing solitaire, a flower girl picking wild flowers, fly fishing… kisses, tears and so many smiles.
This wonderful, crazy job of mine had me photographing weddings during a Valentine’s Day blizzard on top of a mountain, among golden aspen trees in the crisp fall air and along the steamy beaches of tropical Costa Rica. Every time I meet with a new client I get excited. Excited of the possibility to work with a new family, to share some laughs with a couple brimming with love and to help document the beginning of their future together. I hope this collection reflects the beauty, humor and subtle moments that I aim to capture and I am so looking forward to working with all my wonderful couples of 2014.
