Golden, Colorado Wedding Photography | Kate & Adam

There were so many things I loved about this wedding. From the bride’s gorgeous vintage jewelry and smokin’ cowboy boots to the groomsmen’s chocolate brown suits and wheat inspired boutineers, Kate & Adam put so much thought and love into all their fall wedding details it made this wedding truly a special event. They recited their vows at the Chapel at Red Rocks in Morrison with the iconic red rock formations as their backdrop and they celebrated with their friends and families at Golden’s Fossil Trace Golf Club. These were two new venues for me and I had so much fun exploring their incredible grounds making photos with the bride and groom.

Estes Park, Colorado Wedding Photography | Rachael & Chris

Rachael & Chris were joined on a beautiful day by a small group of family and friends for their Estes Park, Colorado wedding held at the Black Canyon Inn and Twin Owls Steakhouse. After a fantastic engagement session with the happy couple last year, I knew their wedding was going to be a joy to document. Their energy and love for each other is palpable, and they did such a good job with all the little details of their wedding making it such a fun and memorable day for not only their guests but for me as well. Estes Park Wedding | Black Canyon Inn and Twin Owls Steakhouse

Stacey & Ryan’ s Estes Park wedding couldn’t have gone any better. From the perfect weather, to the flawless execution by Jessie at Tangerine Room Events, to all the thoughtful details including the awesome ColoRADo Converse sneakers, their wedding at the Black Canyon Inn and Twin Owls steakhouse was outstanding. There were so many laughs, tears and wonderful moments for me to capture. These two are such a fun and easy-going couple, we had a blast at their engagement session last fall in Vail and I truly loved photographing all of the joy of their wedding day. Favorite Wedding Photos from 2013

2013 was an excellent year for me. The business grew tremendiously and once again I got to work with a plethera of open, welcoming and adventurous couples at some of the most beautiful Colorado (and Costa Rica!) wedding venues. The photos below are some (not all) of my favorite moments from the year. Some of the moments that I will forever remember… like a father’s old hands folding a pocket square for his son about to walk down the aisle, bridesmaids fawning over the beautiful bride, a father wiping a tear from his face, grandma wearing curlers and playing solitaire, a flower girl picking wild flowers, fly fishing… kisses, tears and so many smiles.

This wonderful, crazy job of mine had me photographing weddings during a Valentine’s Day blizzard on top of a mountain, among golden aspen trees in the crisp fall air and along the steamy beaches of tropical Costa Rica. Every time I meet with a new client I get excited. Excited of the possibility to work with a new family, to share some laughs with a couple brimming with love and to help document the beginning of their future together. I hope this collection reflects the beauty, humor and subtle moments that I aim to capture and I am so looking forward to working with all my wonderful couples of 2014. Thanks so much to everyone who helped make 2013 awesome!

Wedding Photography Favorites from 2011 | Travel Tuesdays

I love being motivated and inspired by my peers so I look at other photographers’ work daily. It pushes me to be a better wedding photographer and keep up with what’s going on in the industry. However, I can’t help but sometimes feel overwhelmed by it. So often I find it refreshing to go back and just look at my own work. 2011 is a year I am really proud of. I worked with such diverse couples and got to photograph weddings all over the state of Colorado. Plus, I got to travel to Mexico and Iowa for destination weddings. Total bonus! I love, LOVE, destination weddings!

Throughout the years it has been great to see my progress as a photographer and reflect on how far I have come at developing a style uniquely my own. I will continue to seek out and admire other photographers to remind myself of ways I can continue to grow but also take a moment to exhale, trusting that I am on the right path. Here are some of my favorites from 2011.
