Boulder Sunshine Canyon Wedding | Lopa and Stephan
A huge blog for a HUGE wedding! Lopa and Stephan were married in Boulder’s Sunshine Canyon at a beautiful mountain home that had to be rebuilt after a devastating wildfire last year. The combination of over 2000 colorful prayer flags, bright, green rolling hills, black, charred trees and dramatic weather made for an exciting day and fabulous photos. The worldly couple made this wedding their own by having a traditional South Asian Puja ceremony and entertained guests from at least 3 different countries as they celebrated traditions from their Mexican and Serbian heritages.

Traditional South Asian Wedding At Wild Basin Lodge | Allenspark Colorado
I had been looking forward to Nikita and Gabriel’s traditional South Asian wedding for a really long time. I just knew it was going to be an event filled with vibrant colors and seeped in beautiful ancient traditions. It lived up to all my expectations. The yards and yards of brightly colored sari’s, the smells of authentic Indian food, hands and feet decorated with henna, chanting, throwing rice, building a fire, blessings and more blessings, mango lassi on tap- it was seriously an incrediable event, a photographers dream! The weather at Wild Basin Lodge in Allenspark, Colorado held off just barely long enough for their outdoor ceremony and our wanderings making portraits. It was a wedding that will be hard to forget and I truly had a fantastic time.
